Muggsy Bogues Family Foundation

Mobile Food / Job Training Initiative

The MBFF is exploring options with community-based partners to develop an eight-week cohort-based program where eligible individuals enter job training while also receiving meal kits from the MBFF. The primary goal of this program is to get eligible individuals into training while being supported with food resources. This will help to alleviate the drain on finances and time so participants can focus their efforts on job training, placement, and family.

Partnerships are key to the success of the MBFF. Not wanting to reinvent the wheel, the MBFF’s approach is to leverage partnerships by collaborating with key community agencies who serve at-risk populations. Through collaboration, the MBFF can fill gaps in service by providing food/meal kits and other basic necessities to help families move along the continuum to family and economic stability.

It is anticipated that a pilot initiative will kick-off in Spring 2022.
