Springtime Labor of Love
Due to the pandemic’s exacerbating and lingering impact on food insecurity, especially for families of color, the MBFF has expanded its Labor of Love food distribution program to include a Springtime Labor of Love event to be held in June 2022. For this event, we are excited to be partnering with Freedom Communities to bring food and hope to the residents they serve in West Charlotte along the Freedom Drive Corridor.
We are also excited to announce that our program expansion is supported by a grant from the Charlotte Metro Credit Union Foundation. The Charlotte Metro Foundation is dedicated to partnering with and supporting the local Charlotte community through annual scholarship awards and grant contributions to local organizations and initiatives.
And a big shout out to Healthy Blue NC who is returning as a sponsor and partner in 2022. Healthy Blue not only provides financial support to help get food to our families in need, but they also provide health education to families participating in our events.
We continue to partner with the great people at Loaves and Fishes to procure and assemble food boxes for our events.
We thank our sponsors and partners for helping us to reach some of the most vulnerable residents in our community. Please consider becoming a Labor of Love sponsor. CLICK HERE for details.
