“I wanted to take a moment and just say thank you for including me and my daughter in the Labor of Love event Saturday! Seeing everyone come together for a smooth event was awesome and a much needed help to my family at this time. We even got an autograph on an old Muggsy Hornets Jersey for my god son who is a major fan and I myself got a hug from Muggsy myself! Awesome time and again thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

Labor Day Labor of Love
Addressing food insecurity is truly a “Labor of Love” for the Muggsy Bogues Family Foundation. Perishable and non-perishable food boxes and other basic necessities such as water and grocery gift cards are provided for at-risk families. To reach neighbors most in need, the MBFF partners with agencies already serving at-risk populations to help address food insecurity at the community level by filling gaps in service.
Our inaugural event was held on Labor Day 2020, reaching about 24 families. In 2021, the MBFF served 70 families (183 individuals) -- almost three times the number served from the prior year. Our 2022 event held on September 3 reached 81 families (176 individuals of which the majority 151 were children).
Many thanks to Sarah Kucharski who volunteered her time to pull together a cookbook for our families with some fun fall recipes. Please CLICK HERE to download your copy of the cookbook.
