David Brady brings extensive leadership experience in retail operations, category
management, and strategic execution to the Board of Directors of the Muggsy Bogues
Family Foundation.
David currently serves as Director of Operations – Charlotte West for Food Lion, where
he oversees daily operations and strategic performance across 18 stores, directly
influencing store leadership, operational efficiency, and team development. In addition
to this role, he also serves as Category Manager for Vegetables & Local Produce,
leading procurement, merchandising, pricing, and supplier partnerships for produce
departments across all Food Lion locations. His work includes managing Food Lion’s
local produce program and collaborating with regional farms and suppliers to deliver
fresh, high-quality products to communities.
Throughout his career with Food Lion, David has held progressive leadership roles
spanning merchandising, category management, analytics, and store operations. His
background includes managing large teams, negotiating supplier contracts, developing
merchandising strategies, and driving cross-functional collaboration with marketing,
supply chain, and retail operations teams.
David holds a degree in Business Management and Supply Chain from Appalachian
State University. He is a multi-year recipient of Food Lion’s Count on Me” recognition
and is an Eagle Scout, reflecting his long-standing commitment to leadership, service,
and integrity.
