Michelle Thomas is a visionary leader who has spent her career bridging the digital divide to ensure no one is left behind. As President and CEO of MichelleFThomas LLC, and a former 22 year Microsoft Executive where she served as Regional Director of Citizenship, Public Affairs, AI, and Market Development for 10 states in the Southeast Region. At Microsoft, Michelle played a pivotal role in advancing the AI for Good & Government Initiative, convening national, state, and local leaders to address societal challenges through innovation. Her leadership of the largest AI for Government event in the U.S. catalyzed high-impact collaborations and secured key digital transformation contracts, proving how AI can serve communities at every level. Her commitment to inclusion extended through her work as Director of Microsoft’s Accelerate Atlanta and Miami programs, delivering digital skills training, job access, and economic opportunity to underserved populations. Backed by over $1 million in investment and partnerships with nonprofits and corporate allies, these efforts directly impacted communities of color, low-income residents, and those disproportionately affected by the pandemic. She also served as the liaison between the community and Microsoft’s technology business with Government Elites, Elected Officials, Education Leaders, Nonprofit Organizations, and Microsoft Corporate Partners including driving the 2012 Democratic and Republican National Conventions community affairs engagements representing Microsoft.


Her advocacy continues as she serves as President/CEO of MichelleFThomas LLC, where she works with C-suites Executives, delivers Community Affairs/Public Relations, Government Affairs, Celebrity, Corporate and Nonprofit Engagements. In 2025 she was selected by Microsoft and Women in Cloud as one of 50 Microsoft Women Leaders who have been instrumental in supporting Microsoft’s Trillion Dollar
Market Shift and democratizing access to technology, opportunity, and growth. Committed to helping others realize their potential, she is a member of Charlotte Women Executives where she has served as Vice President of Networking, Johnson C. Smith University Board of Visitors, she is an alumnus of Leadership Charlotte (Class X); a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum; and a former recipient of the United Negro College Fund Maya Angelou Women Who Lead Award.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Ms. Thomas served in county government and the non-profit industry as the Violence Against Women Program Director & Women’s Issues Media Spokesperson for the Mecklenburg County Women’s Commission; Director of Marketing & Community Relations for the Chemical Dependency Center; Special Events Coordinator for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation; Human Services Coordinator & Interim Director for the Charlotte Housing Authority; and through her consulting company worked with various NBA/NFL Players, and wives including Kim Bogues and Sonya Curry.

A native of Charlotte, Michelle Thomas graduated from Spelman College – the #1 Ranked HBCU where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She has also received training through the Boston College Carroll School of Management – Center for Corporate Citizenship. A young woman with a strong belief in God, Ms. Thomas is an active member of Victory Christian Center in Charlotte.
